Nathalie Giraud a grandi en province. Après des études de droit puis de cinéma, elle décide de se consacrer pleinement au scénario et à la réalisation en s’essayant avec « La petite fille sous l’océan » tourné en Super 16 mm. Elle co-signe ensuite « La fille aux ballons rouges » qui gagne Le mobil Film Festival Américain, puis « L’usine l’autre nuit » qui fût sélectionné dans de nombreux festivals à travers le monde et diffusé à la Cinémathèque Française. En 2019, elle réalise « Les saisons sauvages », prix du scénario au Festival de Grenoble, soutenu par la région CORSE & le CNC. Le film est actuellement en festival Aujourd’hui, elle oscille entre la scénarisation de son premier long métrage développé dans le cadre de l’Atelier Adaptation de Romans de la FEMIS, la post production de son premier documentaire “Le silencieux rivage » co-réalisé avec Timothée Corteggiani, ainsi que le développement du court métrage “À LA GUERRE COMME À LA GUERRE” avec la société de production À TRAVERS LE MIROIR.

Kinyua Kamau
Kinyua Kamau was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. He studied directing at EICAR Film and Television School in Paris, France. There he made three short films including; an experimental documentary short about American author Charles Bukowski and Fear, which was screened at Cinématheque Française. He is currently completing his MA in film studies, curation and programming at the National Film and Television School in the UK.

Zhao Gang has worked as a laborer, reporter and held various odd jobs. He left these lines of work and became a professional author in 1995, primarily writing and exploring Chinese New novels. Among China’s contemporary novelists, his writing is known for its independent directions, consciousness and brimming vitality. His works have been adopted by various organizations for the screen. He collaborated briefly with Abbas Kiarostami on screenwriting. Why We are Unhappy in Cities is his first production as a film director.

Sepehr Qeshmi is a new age Persian filmmaker based in Dubai, U.A.E. He graduated from an Australian film school in 2015 and since has been working in the media field in the U.A.E. He has done a variety of notable short films, TV shows, documentaries and commercials, and has experience working with some of the most renowned clients in the world. He is currently working as a full-time Filmmaker at the Middle East’s largest TV station, MBC Group and is working on a new TV show he is writing, producing and directing.

Elina Kastler
Née en 1996, Elina a une formation de comédienne et est diplômée en Master Cinéma – Didactique de L’Image à Paris 3, La Sorbonne Nouvelle. Elle décide de partir au Japon pour réaliser Sosuke, projet né dans les rues d’Osaka, deux années plus tot. Empreinte d’un besoin de raconter, au travers de fiction les points de vue de personnages sensibles depuis sa formation à Why Stories, école de narration, L’enjeu du cinéma répond à ses désirs. Elle se tourne peu à peu vers l’art contemporain et poursuit ses études à l’Ecole Supérieure d’Art de Tourcoing en partenariat avec le Fresnoy, studio national des arts contemporains.
